Dennard Hardware Protection Kit is used as a fire seal in structural  components such as wooden doors and windows with built-in metal fittings, which limits and mitigate  combustion of the wood. It is a low pressure expansion product made up of ammonium phosphate, which produces a large quantity of micro porous, heat insulating foam during fire exposure to protect the treated material from fire.
